The final word of the final chapter of the final verse of Acts is the word “unstoppable.” The Book of Acts can be summarized by this one word. The gospel of Jesus and the spread of His kingdom is unstoppable. James and Stephen have been killed, the Jerusalem church is struggling and the apostle Paul is under arrest but the gospel continues to spread. Jews, Gentiles, demons and sometimes even people in the church bring work in ways that threaten the health of churches and seek to oppose the fledgling missionary movement. Luke writes Acts to assure us that God has set the work of the gospel into effect and it cannot be stopped. Praise the Lord for the unstoppable spread of His kingdom!
